Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The highly experienced manager evaluates the pre-school well. She promotes a culture of continuous improvement and encourages staff to develop their knowledge regularly. Children's behaviour is excellent.

They create rules with the staff, supporting children to consider how to play very well within the group. Children are helpful and considerate of one another's feelings. Staff praise their achievements and children develop exceptionally high levels of self-esteem and confidence.

Children develop their knowledge of the world around them well. For example, they learn about the countries their friends come from and cook foods from different cultures.... Children make good progress from their starting points with their learning and development.

They are enthusiastic to participate in activities which develop their early mathematical skills. Parents speak highly of the lengths staff go to when settling their children. They report that staff help children exceptionally well with complex health issues.

Staff develop effective programmes to support children to develop healthy eating habits. It is not yet outstanding because: At times, children become distracted and do not benefit from their learning during group activities. Staff do not consistently consider children's next steps in their learning when planning activities to enhance their progress even further.
