The provision is good • Staff know each child in their care well.

They understand what their individual interests and developmental needs are. Managers carefully monitor the progress children make, to assess the quality of teaching and learning and to make changes where necessary to promote developing over all areas. • Staff work in close partnership with parents to ensure continuity for children.

Together, they share techniques to manage positive behaviour and establish consistent routines. • All groups of children make good progress from their starting points. Staff work well with other professionals to help children to prepare for the next stage of their learning and ...eventual move on to school.

• Staff help children to develop positive relationships towards healthy eating. This includes activities, such as those that help them to learn about and discuss where food comes from. • Managers and staff work well together.

They support each other and create a warm and positive atmosphere in which parents, carers and children feel welcome. It is not yet outstanding because: • Older and most-able children do not consistently have as many opportunities as possible to explore writing as part of their play. • Parents are not consistently offered further guidance or ideas about how to extend their child's learning at home.
