This provision is good The owner provides clear leadership. She promotes a culture of reflection and continuous improvement and places good emphasis on the professional development of staff. Staff demonstrate a strong commitment to make sure all children feel a part of the club and enjoy their time there.

Staff work effectively in partnership with school staff and parents. They exchange information with them on an ongoing basis to help support continuity of children's care and learning. Staff place a strong focus on helping children to settle quickly when they first attend the club.

They encourage children to make choices in how they spend their leisure time and help the...m to become independent. Children enjoy a calm environment with positive interactions with staff and other children. They are confident, relaxed and well prepared for the start of the school day.

Children take part in planning the range of activities that the club offers. On arrival they quickly become engaged in play using the wide range of resources available to them. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff are less strongly focused on helping children to understand how to keep themselves healthy, for example, through exercising and eating healthily.
