Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The well-qualified staff are knowledgeable and passionate about the club. They have worked hard since their previous inspection and addressed all actions and recommendations.

For example, robust risk assessments now include all areas that children can access. They have been devised with the host school's governors and caretaker. Children's safety and welfare are paramount.

• Staff welcome children into the club. As children arrive after the school day, staff show a genuine interest in them and how their day has been so far. Children feel valued by staff and demonstrate a real sense of belonging at the club.

• Children's behaviour is good.... Staff talk to the children about the rules of the club and are good role models. Children are polite and respectful of each other.

They are consistently kind and caring. Older children ensure they include younger children in club activities. • Staff work closely with the teachers at the host school.

They share information about children's development to ensure there is continuity of care and to extend their learning. • Staff spend time talking to parents about their children's individual needs when they first start at the club. They keep parents well informed about children's daily achievements.

Parents and children speak very positively about the setting, the activities provided and the helpful and caring staff. • Arrangements for supervision do not focus sharply enough on staff's performance to extend their skills and knowledge even further. • Staff do not make the best use of the environment to provide opportunities for children to be able to rest and relax every day.
