This provision is outstanding Children receive consistently high-quality teaching during all their play and activities.

All staff know the children very well and respond to their individual preferred ways of learning during their positive and sensitive interactions with them. Staff are highly skilled in supporting children to make the best progress they can. The planning of activities is flexible, changing on a daily basis as the children make suggestions.

This sharp focus on planning results in children's interests being recognised quickly, which considerably adds to their enjoyment and learning. Parents' contributions to their children's learning at the pre-school are ...fully respected and valued by staff. The result of this highly consistent approach is very effective communication that means children's needs are met well.

Children are safe in the pre-school. They are learning about the risks involved in their play through clear explanations by staff who encourage them to consider ways to keep themselves safe. Staff work extremely well to promote children's developing communication and language skills.

They talk to children clearly, using signing as required, introducing new and descriptive words during activities. Children clearly show a strong sense of well-being and belonging at the pre-school. They are making friendships.

Children are familiar with the daily routines and are confident to approach staff for comfort and reassurance as they need it. The management team are committed to the staff's continued professional development. Children benefit significantly from staff's extra knowledge and great enthusiasm to meet their individual needs.
