Summary of key findings for parents

This provision does not meet requirements • Staff do not benefit from effective and consistent methods of supervision and performance management to support their continuing professional development. • New staff do not receive an adequate induction and there is poor monitoring of their practice and suitability as they continue in their employment at the club. • The manager demonstrates through discussion his understanding of the importance of safeguarding children.

He explains the training that staff have received to support them in identifying possible indicators of abuse. He describes the referral procedures he would use should he have concerns about a child's welfare. • The man...ager describes the activities available at the club and how children are able to contribute their ideas and suggestions.

This supports children's confidence and sense of belonging. There are adequate resources available for the ages of the children attending. • The manager explains the importance of complementing children's learning.

He describes the communication strategies between teachers and staff in the club and how they work together to support children's ongoing progress. • The manager recognises the importance of working closely with parents. He explains that information is shared regularly, and parents are invited to contribute their ideas and suggestions to help drive improvements in the club.

• The manager describes how daily opportunities are provided for children to enjoy physical play outdoors. Children enjoy a range of healthy snacks and are encouraged to follow stringent hygiene procedures. There were no children present when this inspection took place.

The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
