This provision is outstanding Staff demonstrate an excellent knowledge and understanding of how children learn and develop.

They use their knowledge of children's abilities, interests and learning styles to plan an excellent range of activities and high-quality learning opportunities. Partnerships with parents are outstanding. Staff ensure parents are fully involved in their children's learning.

Information is continually shared with parents to encourage and support children's learning at home. This partnership contributes greatly to children's success at the nursery. Children are exceptionally well prepared for their future learning, as staff place a high priority on de...veloping their language and communication skills.

Staff continually introduce new vocabulary during play activities and everyday routines. They use sign language extremely effectively to help younger children communicate. Children learn about the wider world through a superb range of play resources, visitors to the nursery and outings, such as to the theatre, school and church.

Staff plan a wide range of activities and experiences that helps children to respect and celebrate differences and diversity. Staff have excellent knowledge about their responsibility to safeguard children. They clearly demonstrate their understanding of what to do should they have any concerns about a child's welfare.

Safety is given a very high priority. The trustees, manager and staff team demonstrate a strong commitment to developing the nursery and have targeted plans for the future. Excellent self-evaluation means that they are continually extending the service they provide for families and children.
