This provision meets requirements • The manager and staff understand how to provide an enjoyable range of activities for all children who attend the playscheme. • The premises are suitable and safe. Daily registers record children's attendance, and staff check that parents have signed children in for their session.

• The manager recognises the importance of self-evaluation to help to identify any further areas for improvement. He understands the benefits of having effective systems to monitor practice and providing staff with regular professional development opportunities. • The manager is aware of his responsibility to protect children from harm.

He ensures staff undert...ake regular training and understand about wider safeguarding concerns. Staff know the procedures to follow if they have a concern about a child's welfare. • The manager and staff understand the importance of keeping parents well informed about the time children spend at the club.

There are procedures in place to exchange information with parents, to identify and support children's individual needs. • The manager ensures that senior staff hold a recognised paediatric first-aid qualification. There were no children present when this inspection took place.
