Information about the setting

All Seasons Nursery was registered in 2006 and is on the Early Years Register and the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register.

It operates from premises set in the residential area of Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands and serves the local and surrounding areas. The nursery is on two levels; the baby room is on the first floor, accessed by a stairway and there are ground floor nursery playrooms. There is a separate ground floor unit for pre-school children.

The kitchen, laundry, toilet and wash facilities are all based on the ground floor. A disabled toilet with changing facilities for children is situated on the ground floor, and there is disabled parking near t...o the main entrance of the building. The nursery opens on Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm, all year round, with the exception of bank holidays.

There is an enclosed area available for outdoor play. The nursery employs 19 members of childcare staff. Of these, all but one hold appropriate early years qualifications at levels 2 and above.

Children attend for a variety of sessions. There are currently 108 children attending who are within the early years age range. The nursery provides funded early education for two-, three- and four-year-old children.

It supports a number of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language. It receives support from the local authority. What the setting needs to do to improve further To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should: increase children's already very good opportunities to learn to be independent in serving themselves or setting the tables more often at meal times, particularly in the pre-school room.
