Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Overall, teaching is good and staff support children's learning well. This is through a combination of adult-led opportunities and enabling children to choose their own activities.

As a result, children are motivated learners who make good progress in their learning. Children's safety and well-being are well promoted as staff have a good understanding of safeguarding procedures and how to protect children from harm. This is underpinned through the implementation of robust policies and procedures.

Staff effectively support children's emotional well-being. They work closely with parents to settle new children into the club, as they find out about chi...ldren's individual needs. As a result, staff and children develop strong, supportive relationships, which enable children to be confident, happy and emotionally secure in new situations.

Management and staff show a strong commitment to continuous improvement, through staff training and development, monitoring systems and self-evaluation. This ensures the effective care, learning opportunities and outcomes for children. Partnerships with schools attended by children at the club are secure.

This is because : the staff work closely with the teachers to support children's identified learning targets. As a result, purposeful, fun and interesting activities at the club support children's good progress and enhance their learning in school. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not always ensure there are ample resources for all children to fully participate in specifically planned activities at the same time.
