Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The atmosphere at the club is friendly, relaxed and fun.

Children take part in a good range of planned and freely chosen activities. Staff sensitively support new children joining the club. An effective key-person system is in place to support younger children in making close bonds with staff and their peers.

Children behave well and are very polite and respectful to each other, staff and visitors. Staff place a strong focus on keeping children safe. They adhere to good health and safety policies and procedures.

High priority is given to ensuring that children are safely escorted to the club from the local primary schools. Staff have estab...lished effective two-way communications with parents. They exchange information about children's interests and care needs.

Parents make very positive comments about the club and say they appreciate the variety of activities offered. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff's professional development is not fully focused on raising the quality of practice to an even higher level. On occasions, staff do not make the most of opportunities to encourage the youngest children to select additional resources and extend their ideas as they play indoors and in the garden.
