This provision is good The committee supports the manager and staff well to provide efficient organisation and monitoring of their provision.

Self-evaluation is effective. Management and staff make continuous improvements to their resources and skills, which is beneficial to children. The manager and staff have positive partnerships with parents and others.

This enables them to support children's individual needs and progress well. For example, to provide additional support in children's communication and language development. Children enjoy a good range of activities and enjoy learning through play.

They are sociable, confident and play well together. Children ...feel very secure as staff prepare them well for entry to pre-school and school. Effective observation, assessment and planning procedures identify children's next steps and track progress well.

The manager and staff continue to develop their good procedures, to extend the opportunities to involve parents further in the assessment of children's progress. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff sometimes miss opportunities to encourage children to learn and practise letter sounds, to extend their early literacy skills. Although staff teach older children well how to paint and draw with a purpose, they sometimes miss opportunities to enable children to develop and express their own creativity more freely.
