This provision is good Children develop close bonds with staff.

Staff support children's confidence, such as with consistent praise and encouragement. Children enjoy trying things out and respond well to challenges. For example, children persevere as they negotiate obstacles in the outdoor area.

The well-qualified staff establish positive relationships with parents and provide opportunities for parents to contribute to their children's learning. Children behave well. Staff support children to identify the impact of their behaviour on others.

This means that children are sensitive to other's needs and form positive relationships. Children who speak English as an ...additional language are supported well through a range of helpful strategies by caring staff who develop partnerships with a range of professionals. The experienced staff regularly observe children and provide activities that reflect their interests and what they need to learn next.

Children make good progress in their learning, relative to their initial capabilities. It is not yet outstanding because: The manager does not use information about individual children's progress as well as possible to identify any emerging gaps in the progress of any groups at the earliest opportunity. Although the manager monitors the quality of teaching, she has not identified where some teaching can be improved further to enhance learning experiences for children.
