This provision is good Children are happy and well behaved in this welcoming, homely nursery. They form close bonds with staff, who are very caring and meet all children's needs. Staff work closely with parents to provide consistency of care for children.

Children develop good social skills and independence in their self-care. They make good progress and are well prepared for the next stages in their learning. Leadership is very well organised and effective.

The manager monitors children's progress in great depth. She works closely with staff to analyse the information they gather to help narrow any gaps in learning quickly. This helps them to plan specific activities to... help close gaps in identified aspects of children's learning.

The strong partnership with parents promotes a shared approach to children's learning. Staff guide parents in sharing valuable information about their children's achievements. They involve parents successfully in their children's learning at home and at nursery.

Staff keep parents well informed about their children's progress. The manager and staff work very effectively with other professionals to support all children and their families. Staff reflect well on the provision and make continuous improvements to develop children's learning experiences.

Staff are well motivated to provide good-quality care and learning for all children. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not provide children with enough encouragement or time to think through problems, work things out for themselves or consider their responses to questions. Staff provide few opportunities for children to explore and experiment in the natural world to increase their knowledge and understanding in this area.
