This provision is outstanding Children are exceptionally well prepared for moving on to school. Key persons inspire opportunities for children to build confidence and self-esteem, while accompanying them to sessions at their new primary school. The manager is enthusiastic and dedicated to continually developing the nursery.

She has devised excellent systems of gathering the views of parents, children and staff. Together, their views enable a sharp focus on priorities for development. There is exceptional parental involvement in children's learning and parents are fully informed of ways to support their learning at home.

The well-qualified staff provide extremely well-pla...nned activities using the children's interests, which continually challenge and extend their learning. Staff use precise observation, planning and assessment to meticulously plan next steps in learning for children. This enables children to make rapid progress in all areas of learning based on their starting points.

Children delight in the innovative experience of den-building activities in the local community, using collected natural materials. This stimulates children's sense of curiosity and their natural desire to explore and investigate. Children are highly motivated and engaged in learning, using an extensive range of meticulously planned activities.

Children's safety is paramount. Staff have a clear understanding of the comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures in place. Staff are able to identify and report any concerns regarding the welfare of children.
