This provision is good Staff have a good understanding of how children learn and develop. They provide children with interesting and exciting learning opportunities.

This helps ensure all children make good progress in relation to their starting points. Children throughout the nursery are happy, confident and thoroughly enjoy the time they spend at this welcoming and friendly nursery. Children arrive happily and readily settle into their chosen activity.

New children settle quickly and develop strong bonds with their key person. The manager and staff use effective systems to ensure they are able to monitor children's development. They regularly review information from th...ese assessments to make comparisons between different groups of children and to ensure that no child is left behind.

Staff have established good partnerships with parents. They exchange regular information with parents about children's achievements and guide them effectively in supporting their children's learning at home. It is not yet outstanding because: The manager does not make best use of the strengths, knowledge and expertise within the staff team to build on staff's already good teaching skills.
