This provision is good • The manager and her staff team are committed to providing children and their families with the best possible early years provision. They evaluate the provision and reflect regularly. This leads to effective planning that helps to drive forward identified improvements.

• Parents speak very highly of the nursery and they praise the friendly and approachable manner that is embedded throughout. Staff engage parents in children's learning and they offer support and guidance about activities to continue at home. • Staff are skilled at encouraging children to share their thoughts and ideas during adult-led activities.

For example, they ask questions tha...t encourage children to think about what might happen next, and give time for them to give their responses. • Staff provide good support for children to gain independence skills. For instance, children pour their own drinks and serve their own food at lunchtime.

Children readily attempt to put on their coats and hats to play outdoors. • Staff miss some opportunities to support children's understanding of the natural world, such as providing readily available resources and equipment. • Staff do not consistently manage routines well to help extend children's understanding of what is happening next and what is expected of them.
