This provision is good Staff provide children with a wide range of enjoyable and interesting activities.

Children describe how they enjoy their time and really love coming to the club. Children develop strong, trusting relationships. Children from different schools mix and play harmoniously.

They are confident and laugh and joke with staff. The manager works closely with staff to make continued improvement. She gathers feedback from parents and encourages children to make suggestions about the activities they would like to do at the club.

Parents comment that they are very happy with the service provided. Staff have established effective two-way communication wi...th the local schools. They exchange information about what children are learning to enable them to effectively complement this through activities in the club.

It is not yet outstanding because: Staff have not established highly successful ways to gather information from parents about the newer children's interests and abilities, to enhance planning further. On occasions, staff do not organise outdoor activities as well as possible to encourage the youngest children to get involved and join in. The provider does not make the best use of staff supervisory meetings to evaluate staff performance and focus on raising the quality of practice to an even higher level.
