Pupils thrive at this highly inclusive school. Pupils come here from all walks of life, and many speak English as an additional language.

Everyone does well. All pupils are welcome here, no matter what their background or what barriers they may face. Those who are new to the school settle quickly because they are accepted by other pupils and supported well by adults.

Pupils are proud of their school, and there is a strong sense of belonging. Pupils feel safe here. If ever pupils fall out, or if they are ever unkind, they know that adults will help to sort the situation out.

Pupils attend well.Relationships are warm and respectful; older pupils look after younger ones. Leadership opportunities are plentiful and inc...lude roles such as safeguarding ambassadors and assembly technicians.

The curriculum is enriched by clubs such as board games and football. Creative projects such as Poartry and 'recycle me a city' help pupils to develop their skills further. The curriculum is ambitious and creative.

Learning is purposeful. Teachers' expert explanations, modelling and questioning help everyone. Staff understand each pupil's needs, interests and potential.

The expertise of staff ensures that pupils get the right help at the right time. This is especially the case for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Pupils enjoy their learning.

They leave school having reached high standards. They are prepared well for their next steps. They move on as articulate, kind and culturally aware young people.
